The Lighter Side of Fried

The Lighter Side of Fried

Ian Townsend

Fried food gets a bad rap for being so unhealthy, but with the right oils and ingredients, this taboo cooking method can produce the most moist and flavorful dishes.

Moderation

We are definitely not saying you should fry everything, everyday. Much like deserts, it is all about eating sensibly and in moderation. Start with a heart healthy peanut oil, and add fresh ingredients. Today, we are highlighting every kid's favorite.... chicken fingers.

Not Just for Kids

I bet every adult has visions of frozen, preprocessed and breaded monstrosities you toss in the oven and heat up for a quick kiddie meal. You are correct, but we can make moist and juicy chicken everyone will want with this demo.

Start with the Chicken

The local poultry farmers are raising non-steroid, free range chicken which help produce some of the leanest and tender meat you will ever consume. We prefer the breast, but any part of these birds will fry to perfection.
